Fact: Christian's daughter was baptised on 29 Jan 1709/1710. The baptism register stated that the child was "born in fornication a considerable time ago". Despite several confinements in the pillory she consistently maintained that Nichol Wyld was the father despite his denials. No evidence of their marriage found.The daughter was referred to by her father's surname when marrying David Tod in 1728.
