Mary was one of the 3 Mary Mousels who were buried in Wickwar in 1759. She also had a baby in 1758 who had been baptised Mary. There was a smallpox epidemic and 2 of the 3 deceased Marys had died from smallpox. Given Mary was already deceased when her father-in-law Thomas Mousel and her daughter Betty were arranging administration of her husbands estate and guardianship of Betty on 18th October 1759, she was buried on 6th August 1759 or 30th Sept 1759.

This date is conjectural as the parish registers show no identifying information apart from a name and date for burial records. Four additional Thomas Mousels were buried in Wickwar in 1728, 1729, 1740 and 1768. However, given he was party to the guardianship of his son Richard's minor daughter, Betty, in 1759 and rescinded administration of the estate to another at the same period it is likely to be correct.
