Fact: Thomas had an accident resulting in a fractured skull and hospitalization in Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. It was reported in a number of newspapers. Thomas' accident was one to three to people living in the same street in three separate incidents within a day or two of each other. His was the only non fatality. Reportedly he was riding a tram in Newton when his head was struck by a tram going in the opposite direction. — February 7, 1933
