Fact
John Merry was one of the executors nominated in the will of Nicholas Gilbert, Esq., of Kniveton, who died in 1646, but was declared as "not having legal capacity". The other executor, Edward Bradshaw declined so Elizabeth G. alias Woodrowe, a relative was appointed executrix.
